Nokia 6170 Cellphones Review

The Nokia 6170 is a follow up to the 7200, which was Nokia's first ever flip phone. They have gone for a 'quality' look too, adding a stainless steel cover which makes the phone feel heavier & strong, whilst still being small.

There is a high quality 65k colour screen which makes it great for web browsing & taking pictures. The external screen, which is also colour can have backgrounds & display the time & date. You can use the mini display as the viewfinder for the camera to take pictures of yourself & there is also the option to use the lower quality video recorder (main display only). There are polyphonic ringtones, which also means you can download 'truetones', these are actual clips of songs or other recorded sounds that you can use for any sound alert!

There is the capability to sync the calendar & to-do list with a PC or laptop via infra-red, making it ideal for a business user who might need to set or change appointments or engagements whist on the move. Also, being able to link it to a laptop or PC means that you can send any images that are taken with the camera to the PC/laptop via hard cable.

Indeed, the only feature that this state of the art mobile doesn't have, is Bluetooth. Some of the other features it does have include built-in handsfree speaker phone, games & option to download more, voice dialling & commands, vibration alert & Nokia's renowned battery life.
